Hiking Trails of Santa Clarita

Information Provided Courtesy of

Community Hiking Club

Interested in exploring the natural beauty of the Santa Clarita Valley and SoCal? Numerous hiking trails are available for your exploration. Whether this is your first hike or you';ve been hiking for years, you will find a trail with a difficulty level suitable to you. The trails are well maintained and offer incredible views. SoCal and the SCV offer trails that will bring you past trees, wildflowers, creeks and more. Hiking is a great way to get your family active and discover new areas of the SCV. Create lasting memories on your next hike!

Los Angeles County App and Website
In 2019, LA County launched Trails LA County mobile app and relaunched their website. The app is built around offline mapping and navigation, so that you won't go off-track just because your cell phone cuts out. The site offers detailed planning tools to help find the perfect trail for you--choose from the more than 550 miles of public trails countywide.

Emergency Location System
The City of Santa Clarita has implemented an Emergency Location System to assist rescue workers in locating distressed hikers. Signs with location numbers are located throughout the trail system, to be used only in the event of an emergency when dialing 911. (Calling 911 will bring Fire, Sheriff, and Search & Rescue to your aid.)
