The City of Santa Clarita has contracted with the LA County Sheriff's Department to provide law enforcement for the city. The unincorporated areas,
which are within Los Angeles County borders, are also under the LA County Sheriff's jurisdiction. Assistance for law enforcement services are
dispatched through the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station on the corner of Magic Mountain and Valencia Boulevard, and through substations in
Canyon Country and Newhall.

Speed enforcement in the unincorporated areas of the valley fall under the jurisdiction of the CHP.
