San Antonio Hotels
Ideal for Families

Historic Crockett Hotel: Location! Location! Location!
The Crockett Hotel Website
320 Bonham 210-225-6500
(Located in the Heart of Historic Downtown
San Antonio)

The location of the Crockett Hotel is the best you’ll find in San Antonio. It is literally within steps of The Alamo, the River Walk, and other great attractions that you won’t want to miss. When the kids get tired, the hotel is right there.

Guests may purchase passes at the hotel for the IMAX, which is adjacent to the hotel, as well as for carriage rides and riverboat cruises.

Rooms are comfortable, spacious and family friendly. Guests enjoy a free hot morning meal—with State of Texas shaped waffles! For a relaxing break from all the wonderful downtown sights, take a dip in the outdoor pool with a unique waterfall feature. Great bonus: The hotel staff is completely comfortable with visiting families.

Staying here is also part of a living history lesson, as the hotel is built on the very spot where
Davey Crockett (the hotel’s name sake)and an outnumbered band of Texas settlers, fought bravely for, and lost, Texas’ independence from Mexico. The hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Structures and was completely remodeled in 2007.

Breanna (10) – “I liked the space in the room and the hospitality.”
Sean (Dad) – “A unique history lesson.”
Krysta (Mom) – “Perfect family hotel when staying downtown San Antonio.”

The Elegant Drury Plaza Hotel
Drury Plaza Hotel River Walk
105 South St Mary's Street 210-270-7799
(Located in the Heart of Historic Downtown
San Antonio)

Elegance, style, and heritage all combine to make the Drury Plaza Hotel an amazing stay for families in San Antonio. Located in the Paseo Del Rio section of the River Walk, the Drury Plaza is directly adjacent to the historic San Fernando Chapel—with a marvelous view—and has direct access to the River Walk through the lower level of the property.

At the Drury, 5:30pm is kickback time where hot food and cold beverages are rolled out daily—all free and the food your kids are begging you for: chicken fingers, nachos, and egg rolls.. Also, guests enjoy a free hot breakfast as well as popcorn and soda throughout the day. All this, and it’s no wonder why Drury states that, “The Extra’s Aren’t Extra.”

The Drury Plaza Hotel has not one, but two pools. The first is outdoor and located on the roof of the hotel along with two hot tubs. This rooftop area is a great location to observe the city and it’s here you can see the weather spire that has historic significance to San Antonio. The second is indoor, has a connected Jacuzzi and also has a mezzanine area for viewing. Both are well suited for some family swimming fun.

With direct access to the River Walk and San Fernando, the free extras, and family fun throughout the property, the Drury Plaza Hotel is an ideal family stay in San Antonio.

Krysta (Mom)- “It was nice to take an elevator down and step out onto the River Walk.”
CJ (4) – “Oh, Yeah! I liked the hot tub and the pool.”
Callie (7)- “ the staff was nice”
Logan (5) – “the sausages and pancakes are really good.”
Breanna (10) – “The Drury had all the pictures of places around San Antonio.”
