Community Gardens in Santa Clarita

Central Park Community Gardens

Provided by the City of Santa Clarita

The City of Santa Clarita leases space to the nonprofit Community Gardens of Santa Clarita to accommodate 131 garden plots in Central Park.

Community members and groups must agree to use only organic methods to grow pesticide-free produce. There are a couple of raised bed plots available for wheelchair-bound residents.

The gardens also include fruit trees and a butterfly garden, providing a beautiful sanctuary for families to enjoy the pleasures and benefits of gardening together.

For many Santa Clarita residents, growing vegetables in their own backyard is not an option, either due to lack of space or the quality of the soil. So, they often ask, "Where can I grow my own vegetables in Santa Clarita or Valencia?" or "Where are the community gardens in Santa Clarita?" or even, "Are there community gardens in Santa Clarita?"

We are thrilled to be able to answer, "Yes, there are community gardens in Central Park in Santa Clarita, where residents and homeowners may grow their own vegetable gardens!"
