Kristin NovotnyAs a college student, Kristin (Pare) Novotny spent four years seeking out new work and life experiences to enrich her education. In March 2008, she went on a life-changing Alternative Spring Break trip to Biloxi, Mississippi, where she experienced devastation, poverty and tremendous hope as she helped rebuild homes lost to Hurricane Katrina. She has interned with four political campaigns to gain extensive field experience in grassroots efforts. In December 2008, Kristin graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. Kristin has spent four years working for numerous departments at UW Oshkosh. Kristin loves to write, travel and work in higher education. In the fall, she will pursue a master's degree in Educational Leadership at Minnesota State University Mankato.
